EDUCATION ON DEMAND

Our innovative Online Academy supports our teams with the knowledge and experience to be the best they can be, anytime, anywhere. If you want to become an expert barista or perhaps you want to be progress to a Pizzaiola Maestro, or Social Media Champion Oakmanology can take you on that journey.

HANDS ON EXPERIENCE

We work closely with suppliers who support our Online Academy, team training and craft visits. We carry out regular visits to farmers in the UK rearing beef, winemakers in France and cheesemakers in Italy so our team can appreciate the quality ingredients used in all our dishes, seasonality and provenance - and keeping things interesting. Our open kitchens are certainly testament to that.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES

We are proud of our track record with our front of house managers and our chef leadership programmes. Both programmes allow you to work and develop at your own pace whilst being mentored and coached by our senior teams. Our Chef Academy Leadership takes you through to Head Chef level and our Trainee Assistant Manager Programme takes you through to General Manager, if this is your ambition!

In addition, our 6-month Fast Track Programme prepares our Sous Chefs and Deputies for the most senior role in their departments allowing for personal growth and reflection along the way.

APPRENTICESHIPS

We fully engage with Apprenticeship opportunities across our business, from our catering learners, Front of House Hospitality through to degree level qualifications for managers and specialist roles. If you like ‘earning whilst learning’ then this route may well be for you.

COMPETITIONS

Bringing our teams together across our estate is always popular especially when there is a competition. Each year, our skilled teams test their talents in pizza, cocktail and best dish competitions.
